Maximize Your Time Management | Get Organized

Maximize Your Time | Stay Organized

Have you ever tracked exactly where you spend your time each day? It can be a real eye-opener to realize how much time is wasted every day on trivial things that really don’t make a difference in your business or in your life.

I’m not saying that you shouldn’t have any down time. I believe, that the lack of time to relax and enjoy life is part of the reason that we are all so stressed out right now. It is extremely important that we take the time to sit back, relax, watch a good movie or maybe just go for a long walk. All of these things will actually clear you mind and enable you to become more productive every day.

One of the best ways to get your day off to the right start is to take just 15 minutes to do something for your health. Meditation, reading your bible, sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee or tea. All of these things will give your brain time to settle into the day and think clearly.

Another way to stay focused and maximize your time is to allow yourself to delegate duties and responsibilities to other people. Allowing them to take responsibility will free up your time to do what is “really important” during the day. I have struggled with this myself. I think it was the way that I was raised from a very young child. I believed that if I didn’t do what was expected of me, I would be considered to be a slacker. This is totally not true!

Of course, knowing what you need to accomplish every day is extremely helpful when it comes to maximizing your time and reaching your goals. This is the old adage of using a “To Do List”. And, there are tons of ways and ideas to organize your day using a To Do List. There are phone apps, apps for your Tablets, outlook, ToDoist and, some people still use the old pen and paper method of tracking their To Do List and staying organized.

The key to maximizing your time and staying organized is to know what you have to do and when it needs to be done. Setting and scheduling your deadlines will keep you focused and able to complete a project. This is where it is extremely important to have your systems and deadlines in order. Most tasks require multiple steps to see them through to completion. It is that closure that gives you satisfaction and keeps your business moving forward.

Once your systems and processes are in tune and you are able to maximize your time and stay organized, you will be able to add more responsibilities into your day. You will also be more apt to delegate responsibilities to other people. And, this is a great opportunity to teach your systems and processes to your employee or family member. Why? Because you know, for a fact, that it works!

Take it one step at a time and maximize your time by becoming organized day by day. I have total confidence in your abilities.
