Organizing Your Files

Organizing Your Filing Cabinet

Do you operate out of a filing cabinet that is jammed packed with paperwork?  Is it paperwork that hasn’t been used in years?  Does your Warranty file hold warranty paperwork from purchases that you made 10 years ago?  Do you avoid your filing cabinet because you just haven’t figured out how to make it work for you?  Let me share with you a solution that will help.

The problem with the generic, manila file folders is that there isn’t a lot of room on the tabs.  Trying to fit a long title – that will make the contents of the file folder very specific – can be impossible.  There just isn’t room for anything but a basic heading such as a client’s name; or a generic title, such as supplies.  What if you have a client who you have worked with on several projects and you need to sub-categorize the tab?  Or you order supplies from multiple vendors and you need to have supplies/company name listed on the tab?  It can be next to impossible.

I have, found your answer.  They are sturdy filing folders that give you the room that you need, not just to categorize your files, but to sub-categorize your titles.  Everything about these file folders screams excellence.  They still offer you the convenience of regular file folders, i.e. three-tab options – allowing you a left, middle and right tab to make it easier to file.  And, this is the best part…the tabs are longer and wider than normal.

The Super Tab file folders from Smead give you the ability to detail your tabs exactly to fit your needs.  The top tab folders  are 90% bigger than a normal file folder.  They are  1/2 inch longer and 1/2 inch wider than typical top tab folders.  But, here is the best part, they still fit into your typical fling cabinet.  They allow you enough room to have at least 2 sub-categories listed on each tab.  Why are these an incredible value to your business?  Having more room to label your files will:

1.  Help you find your files quicker

2.  Give you the ability be specific with your file destination

3.  Release authority of the filing system to someone else – you won’t be the only person that can use it.

Being able to find what you need, when you need it is the basics of being organized.  How much more efficiently will your office be when you can find files quickly and easily….a ton!  Make the change to using SuperTab file folders from www.smead.com to save time and money.
